SECTION 7-HEALTH HAZARDS

PRIMARY ROUTE OF ENTRY:

Skin: Skin irritant. May cause burning, redness or swelling. Prolonged or repeated exposure can cause dermatitis.

Eyes: Eye irritant. Liquid and mists may damage eyes causing corneal injury.

Inhalation: Not a significant health hazard under normal use.

Ingestion: May be irritating to the gastrointestinal system. Large doses can cause vomiting and diarrhea.

FIRST AID PROCEDURES:

Skin: Flush exposed area with large quantities of water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.

Eyes: Flush eyes with large quantities of water, holding eyelids open. Seek medical attention

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air.

Ingestion: Give large quantities of water. Seek medical attention.

CHRONIC/SUB-CHRONIC DATA:

The following data pertains to studies done with the technical material, 80% Active Ingredient;

Subchronic Dermal Toxicity in Rats: Slight irritation was noted in all treatment groups. No systemic toxic effects were observed at any dose level.

Chronic One Year Dietary Toxicity Study in Dogs: Clear effect (1200 ppm) and no-effect (400 ppm) levels were determined for systemic toxicity. No specific organ toxicity was observed and treatment has no effect on survival.

Chronic Dietary Oncogenicity Study in Mice: Clear effect (1500 ppm) and No-effect ( < 500 ppm) levels were determined. No specific organ toxicity was observed and treatment did not have any effect on survival.

Chronic Dietary Oncogenicity Study in Rats: Clear effect (2000 ppm) and No-effect (1000 ppm) levels were determined. No specific organ toxicity was observed and treatment did not have any effect on survival or tumor incidence.

MUTAGENICITY STUDY:

No evidence of mutagenicity was noted with or without metabolic activation or increase in unschedued DNA synthesis.
